What diseases?

  1. Lyme Disease (It’s preventable)

  4. Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (Even though there’s no mountains in Illinois)

    • Poor appetite, muscle/joint pain, fever, vomiting, diarrhea

  5. Tick paralysis

    • Progressive paralysis, improves after removal of tick

 

Tick diseases can be great pretenders.  Their symptoms are often vague, intermittent, and can occur months after infection.  Tick prevention and a yearly heartworm tests with a tick panel are the best way to protect your beloved pets from suffering.
